Dog-friendly walks near Hoburne Doublebois, Cornwall

With Hoburne Doublebois being both family and dog-friendly, finding a suitable location to let off some steam can be a challenge. 


We’ve pulled together a selection of nearby dog-friendly walks that are packed with natural beauty and local history, so you can enjoy the beautiful sights of the county by foot with the whole family (including any furry friends) in tow. 


Liskeard Parade - circular walk via Caradon Trail.

Start/end: The Parade Liskeard
Distance: Approx 7km
Time: 3 hours


Starting and finishing at the parade in Liskeard, about a ten-minute drive from Hoburne Doublebois, this circular walk is a stunning walk through Cornish history, crossing part of the popular Caradon Trail.


TOP TIP: If walking in winter, be sure to wear some wellies or walking boots as you will be crossing a shallow (but sometimes swollen) stream and taking the muddy track alongside High Wood.

Liskeard Railway Station - circular walk under viaducts. 

Start/end: Liskeard Railway Station.
Distance: Approx 5km
Time: 2.5 hours


Beginning at Liskeard railway station, about a 10-minute drive from Hoburne Doublebois, this walk shows the industrial history of the town with the Liskeard & Looe Canal having opened in the 1800s. 


TOP TIP: Be sure to bring along a camera to capture the wonderful views across the countryside featuring the famous Moorswater viaduct!
