Having lived on Sandbanks back in 2010, I frequented The Jazz Cafe on a regular basis so I was excited to be returning to the area and to visit my old haunt.  Just to be on the safe side, I gave them a quick call and was told they’d be open ‘til 4.00pm.  We made the hour-long journey arriving in good time and took a seat in the window to enjoy the views of the sea.  The menu came as a bit of a shock - the prices had gone up dramatically and with jacket potatoes for a tenner, our expectations were high.  Upon going to the counter to order, we were told that they were no longer doing food! We could not have been more disappointed.  But, on a positive note, The Jazz Cafe is extremely dog friendly, located right on the beach and, if you don’t have deep pockets, you can always enjoy a coffee and cake in front of their welcoming log fire.
